Dyslexia Measures and Rapid Automatized Naming (RAN)

RAN or Rapid Automatized Naming is the ability to quickly name aloud a series of familiar items.  RAN can be used for the purpose of screening for dyslexia in Grades K and 1. The RAN measures our numerals.

RAN benchmarking measures are available when the benchmark window is open for grades K and 1. To access the measures, select the RAN tab under Measures. To enter student scoring, select the year, season, grade, building, teacher, and group. Then choice the student from the group you wish to test on the RAN measure.  Both forms (A and B) need to be administered to receive a score.
