A variety of different factors impact the growth of individual students during the year.
For example:
- their prior skill level,
- circumstances related to their lives outside of school, and
- attendance and attentiveness when in class
All can have profound impacts on how they perform on interim / formative assessments, as well as the amount of growth that they would show over the course of a school year.
Therefore, there is not a standard amount of growth that would apply to all students.
On the Reports page, use the Progress Monitoring Scoring Guidelines document to view typical growth by percentile.
