Does easyCBM math assess all domains and skills, including fractions, geometry, and measurement?

The grades K-8 Proficient Math items are written to address all domains and skills.

The easyCBM assessments are fundamental skills tests. Total raw scores and percentiles across the domains, clusters, and standards are reported.  Scores are not reported at the standard, cluster, or domain level because the reliability of the score estimates would be based on too few items.

The items across the benchmarks and progress-monitoring Basic measures are balanced across domains, with approximately 2-4 items per standard. The document link below shows the standards alignment by test form and item in an easy-to-read format.

The document contains tabs along the bottom, organized by grade.

  • The first column within each tab provides the test form number (both progress monitoring [test forms 1-10] and benchmarks [BM1 = Fall, BM2 = Winter, and BM3 = Spring])
  • The second column provides the test item in the order it appears on each test form
  • The remaining columns provide the Domain and Cluster (Grades K-2) and Domain and Cluster and Standard (Grades 3-8). This information can be used to identify areas of weakness for students who have taken the Basic Reading benchmarks and underperformed, and understand how all strands are represented on the benchmarks/progress-monitoring assessments.
